Julia Poepping is the Principal Consultant and founder of Copasec. Julia founded Copasec in August 2015 after a 30-year IT / business career in which she successfully developed, delivered and managed business-focused information services solutions.
She has established well-regarded cybersecurity governance and compliance programs, led IT merger teams and conducted IT due diligence for several mergers and acquisitions.
Julia received her BBA in MIS from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and her MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business. She has been a guest lecturer on Information Technology Risk management at the University of Pittsburgh and on Chemical Industry Cybersecurity to students in the Information Networking Institute of Carnegie Mellon University Heinz College. She is an adjunct professor of Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University.
